In a unexpected collaboration that defies conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free additional story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the darkness." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Changes
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Content
Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana together with multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Third Free Story Update
This patch also brings the game's third free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This humorous mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they swap characteristic skills: Naoe introduces a theatrical variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns.
